1 min readLast reviewed:

Intended outcome

Save a lease connecting the correct rental records and terms.

Prerequisites

Create the property and tenants first. Confirm dates, rent, cadence, deposits, utilities, and contacts independently.

Steps

  1. Open Leases and start a new lease.
  2. Select the property, unit, primary tenant, and any co-tenants.
  3. Enter the term, rent, and other information requested by the location-aware workflow.
  4. Resolve each readiness message and review the summary.
  5. Save the lease.

Expected result

The lease is available to charges, payments, notifications, and reports.

Common problems

  • Verify the property province if the workflow is unexpected.
  • Open the section named in a readiness message and correct its data.
  • Save a missing tenant or unit before reopening the lease.

Product boundaries

You are responsible for confirming that agreement information is complete, current, appropriate, and properly executed.
