British Columbia landlord software

RTB-1 Residential Tenancy Agreement, rent charges, and records

LandlordRentals helps British Columbia landlords complete a province-aware RTB-1 workflow, validate the agreement details, schedule supported rent cadences, and download the completed agreement package.

What the British Columbia workflow covers

The BC workflow mirrors the RTB-1 sections for service addresses, parties, tenancy term, rent, included services and facilities, security and pet damage deposits, and addenda.

Lease wizard

  • Capture landlord and tenant service-address details and identify when an RTB-26 Schedule of Parties is needed.
  • Choose month-to-month, supported periodic, or fixed-term tenancy details, including what happens at the end of a fixed term.
  • Select included utilities, appliances, parking, laundry, storage, furniture, and other services.

Charges and payments

  • Support daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly recurrence when the agreement supplies the required structured anchor.
  • Use the first payment date for non-monthly schedules rather than interpreting a numeric due day as a weekday.
  • Continue or stop scheduled charges according to the recorded fixed-term ending choice.

Readiness and documents

  • Check RTB-1 required fields and fixed-term ending details before generation.
  • Download the completed RTB-1 and include RTB-26 when additional party space is required.
  • Keep deposit dates, addendum counts, and included-service selections in the saved agreement record.

Current product boundaries

  • A weekly or biweekly schedule needs a complete first due date; a day number alone is not enough.
  • A fixed term cannot be scheduled automatically until its continue-or-vacate choice is complete.
  • LandlordRentals records charges and payments received elsewhere. It does not transfer funds or replace legal, accounting, or tax advice.

British Columbia questions

Does LandlordRentals support the BC RTB-1?
Yes. The guided workflow collects RTB-1-specific terms, checks readiness, and generates the supported agreement document from the saved lease details.
What happens when the RTB-1 needs more party space?
The workflow tracks when a Schedule of Parties is required and can include the supported RTB-26 document with the agreement package.
